Kirsties Handmade Britain
Kirstie’s Handmade Britain: Papercraft
The Royal Welsh Show is a national institution attracting over 200,000 visitors every year. At the show Kirstie will have a go at grooming a cow for competition, make gelatine daffodils with the Welsh Women’s Institute and make a hilarious attempt at herding ducks with a clever sheep dog, Glenn.
But it’s the craft tent that’s really gets Kirstie quaking. At this show, there are literally hundreds of entries, each one brilliantly made. Kirstie focuses her efforts on paper crafts making a decoupage seaside bird, a beautiful embroidered card, and some pretty paper rings out of damaged books.
It’s all going brilliantly, until show day when Kirstie loses her head as she races to get her items in before the competition closes. She won the cake and cushion competitions at other shows but has her luck finally run out in craft obsessed Wales?
